Here are some pictures from our April 11th Tea Party Tax Protest at Washington Square Park in Marysville.
A Colonial sailing ship replica, local muzzleloaders
with their 1852 cannon, and a Tea Party re-creation set the tone for the day. Representative Wally Herger from Washington and Dan Logue,
our State Assemblyman spoke to those in attendance. Our event was held at the intersections of Hwy's 20 and 70 in downtown Marysville, and the sign-holding protestors engaged
with the thousands of vehicles passing by during the day. We had booths for the Yuba County Republican Party, where
voter sign-ups were held. Representatives from the Howard-Jarvis Taxpayers Association, League of Women Voters and several
other organizations joined us. Local country band "High Noon" performed
throughout the event.
